Where did Santa come from?

Karl and I were recently discussing this question. I think Santa is patterned after Christ. He knows and loves you. He keeps a record of you. He wants you to be happy and good, and still loves you when your not. He brings you "gifts". We decided at one point parents must have made up Santa so the kids wouldn't know the gifts came from them, and Christ doesn't often make house calls. So, that's where Santa came from, according to me. Am I close?

Proud Mama Moment

My seven year-old daughter recently went to a birthday party at a friends house. They had Sprite for the little girls to drink, but had run out. The dad asked her is she wanted Dr. Pepper, she told him that she is not aloud to drink it and she would just like some water. Yeah!!!
Then the were going to watcht he Hannah Montana movie, and she went up to the mom questioning the movie. Letting her know that she is not aloud to watch the show at home, so she wasn't sure if the movie is okay. The mother let her know that she did run it by me and I approved of the movie.
It's so nice to know the things that we are teaching them really are sticking. I am soo proud of my little girl for making such great choices!!

Karter has decided that she LOVES soccer! I am glad she is having so much fun!!
We started Crae in Karate. On his first day, he got out on the floor, and just shut down. He ended up being scared and ran back to me. We tried again today all alone and he did much better. Do I keep pushing him or leave it? I know he will love it once he gets it.
Karl also started going to a MMA gym and is loving it. He has bruises on his neck and underarms. It looks like I beat him in unnoticeable places.
Me? I am barely keeping up. Trying to do a light jog on the treadmill, up to a couple minutes now. Woohoo!! Small accomplishments, and baby steps, that's how I roll!!

Soccer!

Karter had her first soccer game this morning and within the first few minutes of playing she scored their first goal!! Woohoo!!! They went on to lose 3-6. But, hey, it's her first game, she's a go-getter and her natural drive showed up! So, I am a happy mom today, they played their best. What more can I ask for?

Funny!

Crae LOVES to take medicine. He saw the pink bottle of kids Pepto and asked if he could have one. I told him no and that the medicine was used to make you stop pooping and since he didn't have a problem, he wasn't going to get one. Later that day as he is taking care of "business" he's yelling at me, "mom! the poop won't stop coming out, i need medicine!" Uhm, no. I had to be more specific then. Oh, the joys of little kids.
Karter made a joke at the other day and laughed so hard at it she started crying. It was a dumb joke, but she thought she was sooo funny. Hmm, I guess she gets that from me.

Doc appointment on Weds.

Okay, so here's how it went. The doc did an ultra sound of my entire neck and said that everything looks good! He said that the lump on the scan was one of three things. 1. it's hiding and he couldn't see it in the ultra sound 2. the radiation shrunk it and 3. it was just a glich on the scan.
No matter what, things are looking good!! I have my next scan in December, so I won't freak out until then. :)
I had two chaperones for my appointment and I am so glad they were, and have been there for me!! I love you Laura and Jennifer more than you know!! Thank you!!
